Rise in sustainability awareness increases value of wool

Sheep farming in New Zealand was established in the 1850s and played a huge part in New Zealand's economy, but these days it can be hard to come by. The wool industry has been hit hard in recent times as farmers are losing money due to high shearing costs and low wool prices. The Campaign for Wool New Zealand chairman Tom O'Sullivan believes the promotion of wool as a sustainable insulation alternative will play a part in addressing the current crisis.
