Tonga disaster prompts re-evaluation of undersea cable laws

When the volcanic eruption happened in Tonga on the 16th January, not only did it cause catastrophic harm to the nation but it completely cut the communications cable which lies on the sea bed and links Tonga and Fiji. Not only does the technology need repairing, but so does the law in regard to undersea cables. Joining us to explain is University of Canterbury law professor Karen Scott.
