A gold and silver day for New Zealand in Tokyo

From Lately, 10:20 pm on 30 July 2021

Our reporter in Tokyo, Maja Burry, joins Karyn to celebrate the fantastic day on the water for Emma Twigg, who won gold in the single sculls, the men's eight who also won gold and the women's eight who won silver.  The Black Ferns are through to the semis and boxer David Nyika is guaranteed at least a bronze medal.  The NZOC has met to talk about transgender issues related to Laurel Hubbard. Maja will report back on that meeting and she'll tell us what it is like to be in the Village bubble. The Black Sticks are also just competing as Lately goes to air, and shortly, champion shotputter, Valerie Adams competes in the qualifying round.
