The double burden of being a Maori scientist

From Lately, 10:20 pm on 15 April 2021

New research has found that cultural identity can be a disadvantage for Maori scientists because they're expected to take on the burden of helping their colleagues understand te ao Maori. And that's leading to high levels of burnout. One of the researchers leading this study is Professor Jarrod Haar,  (Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Mahuta), professor of human resources management at AUT Business School.
