Turning wine-making waste into hand sanitiser

Grape marc is what's left after you make wine and in Marlborough there's as much as 46,000 tonnes of marc left over every year. The MBIE COVID-19 Innovation Acceleration Fund is accelerating research and projects that support COVID responses and the Bragato Research Institute has received funding to run a pilot study turning grape marc into hand sanitiser.
