San Francisco Shorts hosts two films from one New Zealand director

Films from 23 countries have been mixed into 6 feature programs at the 14th San Francisco International Festival of Short Films on this weekend in San Francisco.

Two of the films - Falling Up and Imposter - are from acclaimed New Zealand actress writer and director Chelsie Preston Crayford who speaks with Karyn about the juggling act of creating film.

Falling Up won the Madman Jury prize for Best Short Film at the New Zealand Film Festival last year, and her latest film Imposter features Toi Whakaari graduates: Mate Lagae, Tara Erenskjold, Alice May Connolly, Marco Alosio, Andrew Vaughan Eddey, Mosese Veaila, Nathalie Morris, Hannah Lynch, Nephtalim Antoine, Sam Small and Vaughan Slinn.

Written and directed by Chelsie Preston Crayford, Imposter features students from Toi Whakaari with Matt Whelan, Director of Photography Ryan Alexander Lloyd, and Producer Andrew Marshall.
