The Rest is History: Main Trunk Line

It's time to dive into the week's news, in the past. This week our resident historian Robert Kelly gets to talk about something he loves dearly, TRAINS! On the 7th of August 1908 a train ran the full length of the New Zealand main trunk line. This was a very significant step but the fact it happened so late says a lot about the political and practical history of infrastructure in New Zealand.
