From Lately, 10:20 pm on 4 July 2019

Farmer shareholders of New Zealand's second largest dairy co-operative, Westland Milk Products, voted overwhelmingly in Greymouth today to sell to the Yili conglomerate from China, whose offer values the company at 588-million dollars.

The sale still needs approval from the Overseas Investment Office.

Grey District Mayor, Tony Kokshoorn speaks with Karyn Hay about the wider community's reaction to the news.
