10:20 Orphan orca calf Toa dies suddenly

The Department of Conservation has confirmed that the orca calf being cared for near Porirua rapidly deteriorated this evening and and vets on site rushed to his aid, but were unable to save him. An orca expert, vets and volunteers have been looking after the calf - though to be between 3 and 6 months old, since he stranded at Plimmerton Beach, near Porirua, 12 days ago. Reporter Harry Lock has with the latest.
