To the Olympics in Tokyo now and the Football Ferns will take a knee ahead of their opening match against Australia in support of greater racial equality in sport, a move New Zealand Olympic Committee chef de mission Rob Waddell supports. Maja Burry reports live from Tokyo.

10:30 Community group fighting to clear Mt Maunganui air

Last night on Lately the news that Timaru Oil Services had withdrawn a consent application to build tanks near a marae in Mt Maunganui was discussed. Whareroa Marae has been calling for industry to move out of the area it is located in and had opposed Timaru Oil Services building the tanks to store fuel. Clear the Air - Mt Maunganui is a community led group that's also been outspoken about the amount of pollution industry in the area is causing, and how that might affect the air near schools and parks. Clear The Air member Emma Jones continues the discussion with Susana Lei'ataua.
