10:20 First NZ v England test underway at Lord's

Tonight's cricket test between New Zealand and England at Lord's is the first being played in front of fans in the UK in nearly two years.

It's the first of two tests before New Zealand play India in the final of the ICC test championship in Southampton later this month.

10:30 Doc Edge documentary festival award winners named

The winners of the Doc Edge Film Festival awards have been announced tonight - with Kiwi-born filmmaker Sally Aitken taking home two wins - Best New Zealand Feature and Best New Zealand Director for her film Valerie Taylor: Playing with Sharks. The documentary examines the extraordinary life of Valerie Taylor who shifted from a being a competitive spear-fisher, to a passionate shark conservationist.

The 16th annual Doc Edge Festival features 83 documentaries playing from 3 June until 11 July, with in-theatre screenings at Auckland's SkyCity Theatre 3 - 7 June, The Civic 10 - 13 June, and at The Roxy in Wellington 17 - 27 June. The online festival runs nationwide 4 June - 11 July.
