10:20 Residents still on alert as rain eases

10:30 Covid-19 in Victorian rest-homes

In Melbourne the news now is focused on a move by the federal government that may have huge implications for the covid outbreak in Victoria. It's being reported that in November the Government 'quietly' overturned a rule that said aged-care staff working in private facilities couldn't work across multiple sites. There are three new cases linked to private aged care facilities. Meanwhile a stoush is brewing between the federal and state governments about who should foot the bill for the short lockdown. ABC Melbourne's Nicole Asher explains.
