10:20 All-day lines for Auckland's Covid-19 testing stations

From first light this morning people have been lining up at Covid-19 testing stations across Auckland.

Once the city went into level 3 lockdown from midday additional testing stations were set up  

Dr Vanshdeep Tanji speaks with Karyn from the testing station in Eden Terrace in central Auckland where the service has extended its hours to meet the demand of hundreds of people waiting.

10:25 The reason for wearing masks during lockdown level three

From midday Auckland went into lockdown level three while the rest of New Zealand is observing lockdown level 2.

Mask wearing is mandatory on flights leaving Auckland to the rest of New Zealand and Karyn speaks with epidemiologist Dr Michael Baker from University of Otago about his findings on mask wearing.

10:30 One tick at a time for the Dunedin Municipal Chambers clock 

Time has a habit of being a bit flexible, as a lot of people have noticed over the period of lockdown. But it can be a matter of interpretation for clocks too.

The Dunedin Municipal Chambers clock crept forward this week, with people noticing that it was six minutes ahead yesterday morning. Dunedin horologist, or clock maker, Jeff Martin has been caring for the clock in Dunedin since 1975 and he talks with Karyn about solving the glitch.
