This week Jazz Footprints talks to Head of the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology’s (CPIT) School of Performing Arts -Tom Rainey, and the Programme Leader for the Bachelor of Musical Arts - Cameron Pearce.
Tom Rainey is well known for his jazz piano and bass skills, and arranging for the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.  Cameron is also a skilled arranger and jazz trumpet player.  They chat about the Jazz School’s name, other courses it now offers and how it’s come through the quakes, plus we listen to three unreleased tracks.
