The Government wants to boost its trade links with Latin America as the region's economic growth continues to surpass the global average.

New Zealand's Government has not engaged with Latin America much over recent years;  its sights have been turned east, towards the booming Asian economies.

But the Prime Minister wants that to change.

Radio New Zealand's political reporter, Chris Bramwell, travelled to Latin America to look at the opportunities and challenges for New Zealand.
