Insight for Sunday 4 January 2009
Last year Cyclone Nargis swept on to Myanmar and left 130 thousand people dead.
It also destroyed the homes and livelihoods of hundreds of thousands - many of whom are still displaced and living in refugee camps.
Their plight has been made worse by the Government's handling of the relief effort.
In August, Radio New Zealand's Joy Reid travelled to the Myanmar /Thai border to see the situation at first hand.
First broadcast on 21 September 2008.
