In February the derelict meatworks at Patea in Taranaki (pictured) went up in flames, releasing asbestos in to the atmosphere.
How many other Pateas are there in New Zealand - places where historical operations have contaminated or could contaminate the air, soil or waterways around them?
And is enough being done to clean them up?
