Parliament congratulates Donald Trump on his election as America's 45th president. The Greens oppose the motion and New Zealand First leader, Winston Peters, claims the result was no surprise to him. Bill containing the government's controversial amendments to the Resource Management Act is sent back to the Local Government and Environment committee where it has already spent 11 months.
