After a tumultuous annual conference last weekend the Labour Party might be hoping it has finally put an end to the speculation about the party's leadership. David Shearer put his stamp on the party with a strong speech to the conference and then demoted his rival David Cunliffe on Tuesday. He also received the unanimous endorsement of his caucus. But there is still talk Mr Shearer might face a challenge in February. Our political editor Brent Edwards looks at Labour's woes.
