Forest and Bird says the government's proposed changes to whitebaiting in New Zealand don't do enough to protect particular species. The Conservation Minister Eugenie Sage has released a proposal to standardise the rules for whitebaiting across New Zealand, including shortening the season and establishing upstream catch limits.
