Men saved from rapids ‘should have to pay’ for rescue

Police had to use a helicopter to rescue two men caught in rapids on an inflatable air mattress on the Kawarau River at 11pm last night. Queenstown Harbourmaster Marty Black says they put themselves and their rescuers at risk and should have to foot the bill for the rescue.
