AA Calls For More Road Safety Measures

From Five O'clock Report, 5:50 pm on 5 January 2016

The Automobile Association is calling for more safety measures after the official holiday road toll climbed to 12. The official toll, from Christmas Eve until six o'clock this morning, is four fewer than last year, but excludes one person killed in a crash near Rotorua just before midday today. The AA's spokesperson, Liam Baldwin, says while the overall decline is cause for celebration, the toll is still far too high, and it wants four safety measures to be introduced to save more lives.
