We first talked with India-based Kiwi teacher Claire Pirini back in May, when she was waiting confirmation of a place in MIQ. She had been in India for only a few months when a surge in covid-19 there saw her reconsider her options. Claire spent India's summer back here in New Zealand, but only a few months later, she's once again in the South Indian city of Bangalore, where school classes are back for the first time since the pandemic began..18 months ago. Nathan Rarere asked Claire what that first day back at school after so long was like.
