What3Words uses words instead of addresses to mark locations

Lifted-pints-pumps. Those three incredibly random words mark the location to the front door of our office here in Auckland. A British startup called What3Words has divided the world into 57 trillion three metre squares and given each one a unique three word address. It's been adopted by a number of emergency service providers in the UK, while Mongolia's national post office uses it instead of house numbers and street names. Indira asked what3words spokesperson Giles Rhys Jones how the idea came about.
