Blue Duck Station
Blue Duck Station in southern King Country is a farm, a tourist destination and a conservation project, rolled into one. Over 6000 tourists, many from overseas, stay on the very isolated farm on the banks of the Whanganui River, near the Bridge to Nowhere, each year. The Stray Bus company visits six times a week over summer, with many of its young international backpacking tourists staying more than a night. Some have called the place home for the past year or more.
