Kapiti Conservation

Nga Uruora is a Maori phrase meaning Groves of Life - and it's also a conservation project on the Kapiti Coast. Set up in 1997, its aim is to coax back the dawn chorus from nearby Kapiti Island Nature Reserve by creating a ribbon of bird-safe native forest running from Porirua through to Waikanae.
