Some producers supplying Farmers' Markets have been ploughing their crops in or feeding them to stock with markets banned during Level Four lockdown.  Chair of Farmers' Markets New Zealand, Jono Walker, says there are some very sad tales and it won't be any easier under Level Three where markets are still no-go.

However he says some producers have adapted to supplying food boxes and he believes even more will get into home deliveries under Level Three where people can move about a little more easily.
