The biggest Maori performing arts competition in the world, Te Matatini, has dumped its traditional process to chose a host, and decided to give every region a go; The main candidates standing in the Ikaroa-Rawhiti by-election have joined forces in an attempt to get more voters to join the Maori Roll; People are being given more time to have their say on how the country is run through its constitutional arrangements; Ngai Tahu and Canterbury Regional Council have launched a website promoting the restoration of one of the country's most polluted lakes, Te Waihora.
