A committee of Te Arawa Kaumatua has taken over the debate about which of its tribal flags should fly in Rotorua on Waitangi Day next year; Ngati Kahungunu iwi is delighted with the interest being shown by whanau and hapu, in its plan to revitalise the speaking of Te Reo Maori throughout the rohe; A Central Plateau iwi says it's forged positive relationships with various government agencies in the lead up to negotiating with the Crown over its Treaty Settlement; A Whanganui Iwi Trust says the Government is backing regional housing initiatives - such as what Te Atihau Trust is doing to insulate their shareholder's properties.
