The Waitangi Tribunal has agreed to a Government request to release a shortened version of a report about Maori water rights and the partial sales of four state owned energy companies, before the end of the month; Meanwhile the Maori Affairs Minister Pita Sharples, expects the Government to listen to Maori, about what they consider are their legitimate rights and interests in water; The Ministry for Primary Industries is keen for Maori agribusinesses all over New Zealand to take an interest in a fund designed to promote the sustainable use of resources; Te Kupenga which is the National Network of Stopping Violence and Abuse in Maori families, says its success is only limited by the resources it can call on.
