South Taranaki iwi are mourning the death of the Patea Maori Club Chairman; In Christchurch Ngai Tahu people are mourning the death of the respected kuia, Maruhaeremuri Stirling, who died this week; A Waitangi Tribunal inquiry into water ownership has heard the Crown should be patient and hold back on selling shares in selected state owned enterprises, because Maori have waited years for their grievances to be settled; The Federation of Maori Authorities has signed a memorandum of understanding today with Business NZ.
