The Government appointed panel charged with developing a national economic strategy and action plan for Maori, is seeking submissions on a discussion document it's just released; Preliminary results from a study of kaimoana in the Bay of Plenty, show the recovery time from contamination by heavy fuel oil from the container ship Rena, has in some cases been amazingly fast; The Maori Council says it's expecting to hear over the next 10 days whether or not its claim on freshwater will be heard under urgency by the Waitangi Tribunal; Some Maori say the passing of a kuia who helped establish Kohanga Reo for pre-schoolers in eastern Bay of Plenty, motivates them to fight for the future of the movement.
