Tribal leaders of Te Whanau-a-Apanui in eastern Bay of Plenty plan to attend a judicial review next year, when the iwi will challenge the Government's granting of a oil exploration permit; The Ngati Mutunga o Wharekauri Iwi Trust, says the building of new houses and kaumatua flats on the Chathams is progressing well; A Professor of Indigenous Studies at AUT University, says it's logical for the Maori Party to retain Pita Sharples and Tariana Turia as co-leaders; The Maori Women's Welfare League says its National body didn't apply to be a Whanau Ora provider, as it felt it didn't meet the criteria.
