The Maori Party leadership and executive have held talks with the National Party over a potential agreement in Parliament; The Green Party says the number of votes it's attracted from the Maori electorates have doubled, compared with the last ballot three years ago; Meanwhile, the outgoing Te Tai Tonga MP, Rahui Katene, says she's shocked at being ousted from her electoral seat; The Historic Places Trust in Northland is satisfied with the outcome of a court case in Whangarei, in which a local businessman was convicted and fined seven thousand dollars for damaging an historic pa site; The destroyed pa site at Whangarei Heads was formerly occupied by the Ngati Wai iwi.
