Auckland's Independent Maori Statutory Board hopes to work constructively with the Auckland Council, to increase the proposed budget for 2012-2013 which caters for Maori interests; A group from Kohupatiki marae in Hawke's Bay has just launched Project Patiki fri18th 6pm, which aims to increase the population of patiki or black flounder in the Ngaruroro awa, between Napier and Hastings; The tertiary education provider, Te Wananga o Aotearoa, is setting up courses on south Auckland's Manurewa marae; The Maori Language Awards have just started 6.00pm at the Energy and Events Centre in Rotorua.
