An iwi health organisation says Whanau Ora is heading into an exciting phase - and it would be destabilising if any changes are made; An advocate for Te Reo Maori - whose contribution has been recognised by Queen Elzibabeth - doesn't believe the Maori Party will be able to make the language compulsorily available in schools by 2015; A Te Reo o Taranaki tutor says although the revival of the Maori language has flourished over the last 30 years, the Taranaki dialect in particular is still in a perilous state; A privately-owned Maori carved meeting house in the Lake Taupo Region is up for auction - and could fetch up to 12 million dollars.
