The beach day is a Kiwi classic, but for people in wheelchairs, accessible beaches are hard to come by.
In Auckland, Takapuna is the only beach with a mat and accessible bathroom for wheelchair users.
Their families are calling on the Government to invest in making public places like beaches accessible to everyone.
