A lack of investment in training has left Aotearoa short of telco technicians, and a long queue of people waiting to get high speed fibre installed, a union says.
Chorus, New Zealand's main provider of telecommunications infrastructure, has been forced to apologise for wait times, in some cases blowing out to 10 weeks, when its target time for installations is 15 days.
