'The world war on inflation is turning'. From historical highs, the inflation figure dipped today to 6.7 percent - but is still at levels not seen since the 1990s.
Global fuel prices have come down - driving the downward trend of imported inflation - that's things influenced by international factors.
But back home, it's the price of food, construction and rents that's keeping the rate stubbornly high - meaning New Zealanders will feel the burn on their hip pockets for a while yet.
