Covid 7-day isolation for positive cases to stay in place - Hipkins

The seven-day isolation period for people testing positive for Covid will stay in place for at least the next two months.

Most of the Covid rules were scrapped in September, but the isolation period, as well as wearing masks in healthcare settings, remain.

Cabinet considered the risks of dropping restrictions against the benefits of keeping them.

The Prime Minister said it was a difficult balancing act.
