Schools at 'tipping point', secondary principals tell Minister

Secondary principals have united to make an unprecedented call for help as classes reopen for the third school term.

In a letter obtained by RNZ the leaders of ten regional principals associations say schools are at or near breaking point because of the stress of ongoing staff and student absences.

They say the government must say as soon as possible how it will help students pass NCEA this year.
