What do rising interest rates mean for banks?

Banks are filling their pockets with the increase in interest rates and the time taken to pay off a mortgage is blowing out.

A KiwiSaver fund manager says banks are doubling their margins on floating rate home loans, as the Reserve Bank continues to lift the OCR.
