The whānau that snatched the body of a dead man from his wife's home and buried him in Northland against her wishes says they did what his adult daughters say he wanted.
Tommy Murray who died suddenly last week at 54 didn't have a will, but his wife Sara maintains he wanted to be cremated and remain with her.
She was left distraught when was her husband's body was taken in what she describes as a forceful and violent process.
