Morrison govt not likely to win Australian election, polls suggest

Australians will be casting their votes in just over a week, and if the opinion polls are to be believed, the Morrison government could be headed for a loss.

There are many independent candidates, including the so-called 'teal independents', who are contesting some government held seats.

The so-called teal candidates are a loose grouping of individuals who don't belong to a political party, but do share a common interest in wanting more action on climate change and political integrity.

Antony Green, the ABC's election analyst, explains the challenges facing Scott Morrison's government this election.
