Windfoiling from lockdown to a world record

It started as a depression-busting hobby and ended in a world record.

Windfoiling is a cross between windsurfing and hydrofoiling.

Fifty-five-year-old Melbourne man Andrew Englisch took it up during lockdown and has just become the first person to windfoil 220km across the treacherous Bass Strait.

He tells Lisa Owen how he did it.
