In Northland, Aucklanders' bookings are being cancelled and Waitangi commemorations at the Treaty Grounds have been scrapped.
From December 15, unvaccinated people can travel north if they return a negative Covid test within 72 hours prior.
But Te Tai Tokerau iwi chairs and leaders of the Auckland, Waitematā, Counties-Manukau and Northland DHBs have written to the Prime Minister and Health Minister asking for tougher limits on unvaccinated people.
