Bridges bows out, Luxon, Willis take National leadership

The new National Party leader Christopher Luxon is promising to revitalise the party, saying his relative inexperience in Parliament is an advantage.

The former Air New Zealand boss has been elected by the caucus to replace Judith Collins, who lost the job last week after a no confidence vote.

Nicola Willis, National's housing spokesperson, has been elected deputy leader.

Luxon says they are the fresh faces for a new National Party. RNZ political editor Jane Patterson joins Lisa Owen with her analysis.
