The biggest party of the year in Christchurch is still happening today, despite a ban on spectators at Addington Raceway. Covid rules limiting large crowds meant just 1200 members, trainers and sponsors were allowed in for Cup Day.
But as Conan Young and camera man Nate McKinnon found out, it did not stop people putting on their finest and uncorking the bubbly.
