Covid-19 Response and Education Minister Chris Hipkins has asked the Ministry of Education to work with primary schools and kura on advice for a staged return to learning.
Years 9 and 10 at Auckland high schools could be resuming classes as soon as mid-November, under a staggered system that would see them joining senior pupils, who have largely returned.
Hipkins says he's requested primary schools and kura work on the basis of an indicative start date of November 15.
