Auckland mayor urges govt help businesses in lockdown

Auckland businesses are crying out for help to survive, nine weeks into lockdown.

While they are able to cash in the wage subsidy and the business support payments, they're also having to raid retirement funds and remortgage properties just to stay afloat.

They want to know what the retail and hospitality will look like when the city finally starts to reopen.
